Question on Rail Dial

Hi all,

Long time reader from Egypt (if you haven't already guest from my name on here).

What makes a rail dial a rail dial. I've seen Explorer II dials and Sea-dweller dials called "rail" but I can't see the difference with my untrained eye.

Thanks a lot.
