Just experienced my first time getting “The Call”

About 9 months ago I was put on a list for a black dial explorer 2 at my local AD. I had no purchase history and never bought anything from them. I had only stopped in one time about a month after I was first put on the list to show I was still interested. Today, out of nowhere they give me a call letting me know they had one waiting for me.

As exciting as that was, I had since learned that the explorer 2 is just a bit too large for my wrist and have developed a purchase history/relationship with a different nearby AD and am close to getting a Sub Date from them.

Even though it was a bummer that I still have to wait for my first Rolex, it was exhilarating to get a call from an AD with an offer to buy a SS model. That was a first for me and made me realize that I think the AD game makes me enjoy the purchase a bit more. I totally get the thrill of the hunt and think once I get my first kill under my belt, I’ll be chasing that feeling forever.

Hopefully my next post here will be with pictures of my new Sub Date on wrist. =]
