My Grandfather's 6332 Deepsea

Hi everyone!

New to the forum and Rolex.

This is my grandfather’s Rolex that was passed to my father when he died, and to me earlier this year for my birthday. My dad isn’t a watch guy, so it has just been sitting in his closet since the 90s.

One side has "Brevet +" with 6332 right below, and the other side has the serial no. 50XXX with a small "K.B." in square with a rounded top and a small 40 below. After posting in a couple other places, it looks like it's from 1954 and might be kind of rare.

If there is any more information that anyone could give me about this watch I would really appreciate it. Also, if anyone has any idea of what the value might be, that would be really helpful as well. Values for 50s Rolexes seem to be all over the place from my Google searches. I would never sell it, but I would like to know if I should add a rider to my insurance for it.

Thank you!
