Rolex has reached a new low

So here in Singapore I visited the two most reputable Rolex ADs, just to stop in and say hello to my SAs. There were no words for what I saw. And by what I saw, I mean NOTHING. I’ve seen pretty sad Rolex ADs in Bangkok, Manila, HK and even Jakarta the past few years, but this was by the far the worst I’d ever seen in any country. Nothing but a few two tone DJs in various sizes and dials and just a few lady DJs. The display cases were practically empty.

Now I get that xmas just passed and perhaps many were bought over the holidays but wow, didn’t expect to see it this bad. My one SA who I’ve been dealing with since 2013 said he’d never seen stock this low. I get that demand is as high as ever and stock might also be as low as ever, but both stores looked extremely sad. And we’re in a pandemic coupled with a global recession. Imagine what it would look like if the economy were thriving.

I suppose it was no better the last time I visited a PP or AP dealer last November. Just pointing out a casual observation about the current state of Rolex on my neck of the woods. Probably just as bad as worldwide.
