But I can also understand that some people might feel a certain level of anxiety that would decrease their enjoyment of a watch if they feel that it is delicate. Sometimes I have a similar feeling about wearing a vintage watch that is in really pristine condition. I don't want to be the person that accidentally puts a ding or scratch on the case after 60 years of careful use. And yes, it probably does detract from my enjoyment of wearing the watch, and I wear it less often as a result.
