How many diamonds on factory 36mm bezel?

Hi all,

I've tried looking at pictures and counted until I've gone cross in the eyes and in the end, and not been 100% if what I was looking at was genuine from factory in the first place, so I thought it'd be better to just straight ask.

I've seen it said on here that Rolex does not publicize diamond weights, but does anyone know the diamond COUNT on a 36mm bezel?

I believe it's 44 count, or possibly 42. Or perhaps it's changed over the years, but I don't believe I've seen anything more than 44 that wasn't aftermarket, i.e. more diamonds, small point size.
