He who hesitates......
Well I finally went for it,....bought myself the Yacht Master II Regatta.
Now, it's nearly 9 years since I sold our 39ft yacht. To sail that yacht and other smaller yachts we had before, I sat and obtained my RYA Yachtmasters certificate. But all the time we owned her, there was no way I could ever afford the YMII Regatta. Always there were mooring costs, annual lift out and hull cleaning, new equipment and sailing gear to buy. The YMII blue dial was not totally to my liking, so I went for the 116689. If only I had had that watch sailing at night, the countdown could have been used timing lights on marker buoys seen dimly far off. Now in my retirement, we shall be at Cowes Week and I shall use the countdown when the cannon goes off. Blazer and chinos....OK Yar! |
