Yep. You're correct. The Lotus is definitely king of the corners, but I was always a little let down by how slow it picks up speed in the straights compared to a Porsche, or just about any other serious sports car for that matter. For mountain twisties, the Lotus would be the way to go, but for true driving, Porsche is more comfortable over the long haul.
