Storing automatic watch
I would like to purchase one of the boxes that keeps one's automatic timepieces properly wound, but at what point (if you do not plan on wearing it) do you take an auto out and let it sit?
I can see keeping the watches wound if you alternate very frequently, but you wouldn't want to store an auto in one, would you? Watches are mechanical, and like all mechanical things they wear out. So what's the cutoff time(that you will not wear it) where you take out the watch and let it sit? Thanks! |
