Yeah, this is what I was wondering with my question above: very curious how well one of the new 43mm quick-release systems would have held up. I suspect you’re onto something with your point about certain angles of force. The strength of a quick-release mechanism vs. the strength of a spring bar would be an interesting comparison that I never knew I needed, lol.
