DateJust (36 fluted) flashiness versus larger sports models
Does anyone share my experience that a smaller DateJust seems to attract more attention than larger sports models?
Over the course of one month since I got the DateJust 36 (Fluted, Blue, Jubilee, 126234) I have received several comments on it, including from strangers. I wear the watch for myself, love its size and features, but don't want to attract any attention. The thing is, I have worn Rolex/Tudor sports models (Milgauss, GMT, BlackBay) for 15+ years those never seemed to attract this kind of attention. I am asking this because now, because it's still winter (long sleeve weather), but when spring/summer comes one may expect this unexpected effect to grow. While I don't mind much what others think, I wonder if this "effect" is a proxy for theft risk? Anyone know someone who got robbed for a "mere" DateJust 36? (included some photos to give you an idea about the watches) Last edited by Willem; 22 January 2023 at 06:49 PM.. Reason: typo |
