Our Take
The 16234 straddles between the perfect blend of vintage and modern. The ref. 16234 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal. It also featured the jumping date and the newly updated Cal. 3135 movement.

This example is very well preserved in mint pre-owned condition, meaning there is very little to no signs of wear. The jubilee bracelet is excellent with no stretch and correct N5 clasp code. The watch includes a free leather watch pouch. The movement was recently serviced and is keeping near perfect time. This is an excellent example that's not often found.
