What Color Are Your Eyes?

I just read a fascinating New York Times article which discussed various eye colors. I learned that at the turn of the 20th century, 1/2 of Americans had blue eyes, now the number of blue-eyed Americans is 1 in 6. Blue eyes run the greatest risk of macular degeneration. Brown eyes, the most common due to dominant genes, are most prone to developing cataracts.


Eye colors are among the following: Amber, Blue, Brown, Gray, Green, Hazel, Red (Albinism) & Violet
