I got the call last Thursday - Submariner 124060
First time posting here for a new member.
With a milestone birthday coming up this week I was absolutely speechless when my local AD called me on Thursday at the end of my workday. I was sitting in my office when I saw a call coming in from my AD and I thought, “Wow…I’m getting the call”. I took the call and was absolutely speechless and stunned as the SA let me know that they had a No Date Submariner for me on my birthday and would I like to come it to pick it up. I say YES and then got the payment details and made an appointment for last Saturday to pick up the Sub. I had only started purchasing with them late last year when I purchased a Tudor Black Bay GMT and in January picked up a Grand Seiko High Beat GMT. I had let the SA know that a milestone birthday was coming up and checked out a few Rolex pieces and asked them to put the Air King, Explorer 40 and No Date Sub on my list. I let them know that if either of those pieces came in I would take them. I had visited a few times after my purchases, had some great watch conversations with my SA and admired my listed items under the glass. The SA noted that she knew what was on the list but it takes time for them to be allocated to you. I had been resigned to a year or so wait and was completely stunned by the call last Thursday. The experience on Saturday was amazing and I was grateful for the SA thinking about me on this important birthday. I know that this was a purchase of an expensive item that they would profit from, but I was still thankful for their thoughtfulness. It hasn’t got a lot of wrist time yet as I m waiting for my actual birthday to put it in my rotation. I’ll add a pic once I can get the file size down. |
