Time regulation help?
My new "kermit" appears to have gained about 10 seconds since I set it last Monday; well within accepted parameters, I'm sure.
I read somewhere that one could "help" in the regulation of a self-winding watch by the orientation he placed the watch on the bed stand overnight. For example, crown down would put a slowing tendency on the watch to offset a slightly fast watch (my particular case...) whereas crown up would do the opposite. Anybody heard of this or is it simply an "old wives tale"? I normally don't take my watch off, even for sleeping, but If this nightstand remedy is valid, I may start doing it. |
