Presentation box 1969 GMT Master 1675/8 Concorde? Anybody?
Hi all posting this request for information for a new member @repaircraftsvc. He has the solid gold Rolex GMT Master 1675/8 Concorde in question. It is from 1969 and serial number is 2046XXX. He purchased it from a PX in Yokusoka, Japan in 1969. He has logged a number of flight hours with this watch and has a long history in the military. perhaps someone on this forum has some information they would like to share regarding the appropriate box for his watch.
He has the other documents that came with it but not the actual box. As it is sold gold, I am under the impression it came in a larger box than what is typically used for an all stainless version like the coffin box, bufcor box or something like that. At the same time, I know many sales reps just used whatever they had at hand to box it up. I thought perhaps a 62.00.01 might be the one but I truly do not know. Here is the full listing and story if interested and a few pics of his watch and papers. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=947215 Any help appreciated! Anybody??? |
