Icon10 so went into my AD too...... on a "sunny-ish" winter London Monday!?!

(posted this at "the other" place while TRF was out of action...)

yes i know, it is almost nearly impossible to get a sunny day in London, let alone in winter..... but this Monday morning was "magical"...

so..... i went into my AD this morning for a mate to enquire on a couple of Rolex spare parts.

anyway, got to talking with the store manager (one of my fave people there btw), and she showed me a newly arrived SS DJII with dark grey dial and roman numerals, it is quite a stunning piece, anyway, she managed to get me to try on a few Rolex (again...).

so, out she came with 4 - a black TT SUB-C, a blue TT SUB-C, a blue WG SUB-C and a WG DDII with ivory dial (tried it on once last week). man, o man, was i in heaven....

both the wifey and i loved the WG DDII last week, and the wifey suggested that it should be my next dressy watch - so im not going to argue with her on that.

thoughts on the ceramic Subs - for me, the black TT Sub-C is very nice, a potential, didnt feel the blue TT Sub-C, just couldnt warm up to the smurf blue and gold combo on the ceramic bezel.

now on comes the blue WG Sub-C, holy cow, i LOVED it. (me looks at Karis...) still cant get over how the smurf blue shines, and the heaviness of the watch. this is def. on par with the WG DDII for me. now im in trouble..... and you know exactly what i am talking about.

after that, we went back to why i was there for in the first place and she made a call to St James RSC and got me the prices i needed. so all good, mission accomplished - for now.

oh, before leaving the shop, i have managed to remember that i banged the bracelet of my TT DJII on the metal balcony door frame this morning before leaving home and left a couple of small marks on it . so left the watch there so the techanican can swing his magic on the damage, will pick it up in a couple of days.

also, before i forget, thought id share this - the AD is offering a 3 years interest free on all Rolexes for November and December only, apparently it is only available for 2 years otherwise. so let me know if you are interested, the AD is located in North London. they have a large selections of Rolexes, including most of DJIIs in both TT and SS variants.

sorry, didnt take any pix on Monday, but i will be going back to pick up the TT DJII tomorrow (the AD has called many times already...), so will see if i can get some wrist shots.
