FS: Rolex Submariner 16610 Unpolished & Complete
I have for sale an amazingly complete, vintage 16610. I'm saying "vintage" because this one is an L-Serial number, dating to around 1989. And the 16610 is discontinued!
I have everything, the boxes, the papers, the books, tags... Cloth, anchor, slip, EVERYTHING! Totally a "full boat" watch. Not an accessorized complete watch- all the SNs and markings match- this is how the watch was, and this is how it is today. Totally original! SN L230*** 93150 Fliplock Braclet- full links 501 B Endlinks M9-Coded Clasp Original T dial, hands and dot appear to be Tritium too. Overall condition- good- currently unpolished has obviously been worn and serviced by Rolex New York in the past. (Caseback shows it was serviced by Rolex NY circa 1998?) A light polish would make like new or very close. Prior owner was a certified Rolex watchmaker and it runs fine. Clean 3135 movement! Looks to be an original date wheel- open sixes and nines. Bracelet in good condition for it's age- wears nicely and tight on the wrist. Boxes, papers, tags, cloth, anchor, booklets- dated circa 8/1988. Boxes marked and dated to the watch- SN on Swimproof tag. Have the original owner's payment plan envelope- showing how much and when he paid for the watch on a store "layaway plan," March 1989. Truly a time capsule of originality of a now-discontinued reference. This guy started making payments in Aug, 1989 and didn't stop paying till Nov, 1993! Some people go to college in four years- this guy bought a watch. Overall, a pleasing original example of a classic watch. $4100 Shipped CONUS, or make me a reasonable offer. Paypal +3%. Thanks for looking! I have many high-quality scans if you're interested. Please contact me with any questions and or offers... |
