Guys did i do the right thing?

Hi everyone, im new to the rolex world. My wife took me to a non ad , jewlery store but well known for selling used rolex, and bought me a 2006 GMT pepsi ss with papers" that had previous owners name on it from rolex" Well after 2 days it gained 55 seconds, way out of spec. The price on the pepsi was 3800.00. So i brought it back and bought a green bezel " lv" submariner for 5300.00, but with no papers and no box, I didnt like the idea of no papers but the dealer said the submariner Lv was discontinued and very hard to get. So i jumped on it. Question is would you have been turned of by a 2006 gmt that gained 55seconds in two days. Question 2 is are the Lv subs hard to get and did i get a good deal at 5300.00 for a no paper Lv sub in perfect condition with hollogram sticker on back. Thanks so much for the help.
