GMTIIc dilemma

I've had my GMTIIc for a couple weeks now and am very fond of it. It looks perfect to me and is amazingly accurate and well-made.

The problem is that I just can't get it set up comfortably on my wrist. I've tried adding and removing a link, all 3 micro-adjustment positions on the clasp, and tightening/loosening the easy link. I bought the watch to be a daily wearer, but by the end of the day I can't wait to take it off. Some combination of the weight and the angle of the bracelet link edges on the Rolex hasn't been working out. I generally wear my watches a little loose, but this watch rides up uncomfortably onto my hand.

It seems to weigh about the same as my 40mm Panerai (on a strap) that I've never had an issue with. I also had a 40mm AP Royal Oak on a bracelet that was very comfortable.

Anybody had a similar experience with a GMTIIc? Do you think I might get used to it over time? Is there anything else I might try before looking to trade it? I'm contemplating swapping it for the older, lighter GMTII 16710 model, even though I like so many things about the new one.

Thanks for any feedback!
