Hi all,
I have scratched my gmtIIc crystal, and popped into St James Street, London to ask how much to get it fixed.

The answer was more than I expected, £100. So I said I would leave it until service.

The gentleman explained that this would not be included in the service and the extra cost would be added.

I always thought that the crystal was replaced, hence the common etched "s" service crystal, and I thought out of service the cost was only £50 ish??

I would appreciate if anyone could confirm or deny?
