New user here... I had been ramping up my research to purchase a new Rolex next year, courtesy of my wife as a 10 year anniversary gift. We are currently in Korea rather unexpectedly, and my wife approved an early purchase if I could find a good deal. I'd originally had set my sights on a ceramic Submariner, but after lurking on these forums, I stumbled across some stunning pics of the polar Explorer II. The official Rolex site pictures don't do it justice compared to some of your pics! I also liked the fact that it is a bit more "stealth" and not (very) commonly seen as opposed to the Submariner.

Fast forward to the shopping! I was able to pull the trigger on a V serie polar Expy II for over 2000USD under MSRP. It was a no-brainer but still gave me pause because it was not a planned purchase at this time. My wife convinced me we had to do it.
