Which 1973 Rolex would you recommend?

Hi there,

A very dear friend reached out to me for advice. Alas, I am no Rolex specialist and cannot answer the query, so I am turning to you guys:

She wants to buy her husband a Rolex. As you can imagine, past "Sex and the City", she wants a vintage Rolex - ideally from his birth year 1973.

Which models were available then? Her budget is ~5k which should cover also a visit to a rolex shop for quick cleaning and oiling (if such was not already done).
