GMTIIC de-blinged!

Well, having made the commitment to the GMTIIC a week or two ago, I was knocked out by the styling, the quality, the upgrades of the new model... everything, in fact, bar the PCL's. Yes, I know a lot of people like them, and I know the GMT is not longer what one would call a tool watch. However, I just don't like bling, and I don't like scratch-magnets.

I was aware of someone who had carried out some work for others I know, particularly one who had suffered similarly with his GMT. It didn't take too much thought, therefore, for a decision to be made and - a week later - I now have what for me is the perfect watch. Please don't bother telling me that Rolex watches have to be left as they were when shipped to the AD; not unlike the arguments regarding bezel insert swaps, it's almost like accessorising - we're talking about the bracelet, not the watch. And in my opinion it should always have been this way.
