Service intervals compared to Omega
Hi All
I currently own the new GMT IIc and also a Omega Planet Ocean. The PO has the Co Axial movement and I have read that servicing for this watch is every 8-10 years due to this Advancement. I also have read that Omega have turned down the Vph to 25000 to help reduce wear. However I have also read about Rolexes some people don't service there watches for 8-10 years and more!!! With no ill effects. Given a Rolex Vph is about 28,000 Vph is this why the second hand sweeps more smoothly ? and if servicing is about the same in years? Does the Co Axial movement have any advantages over Rolex? Or do Rolex watches need servicing every 3-5 years? Any ideas Is the Rolex movement better? Thanks |
