Buying a Daytona... where are they all?
Hey all...
I currently have an SS sub but am looking to buy a Daytona. Went to Tourneau (NYC, long island, atlantic city)... all laughed at me. Why is it that Tourneau cant seem to get them at all yet they are all over the internet (alan furman, stein diamonds, etc)? Is it because ADs realize they can sell it more quickly to secondary internet dealers for less rather than wait around for a spending customer to come in the door paying full price? What price do you think some of the more reliable internet vendors buy SS Daytonas at? If I go this route, what is a fair price that I should be able to bargain one down to? Also, why does it seem auction houses like antiquorum, christies, sothebys, etc. are getting 10-15k for late model daytonas. (buyers premium not withstanding)... more than new retail?!?!?! |
