Hi all, Steve from NJ here.

I just picked up my first Rolex last week. It is a beautiful pre-loved stainless steel Submariner. It is an old style and starts with an F. I purchased it from Palisade Jewelers in Englewood, NJ. Two people I know had purchased used from there and gave them a good recommendation. I hope I made a good decision here.

Anyway, I had been admiring the sub for years and not sure why I waited so long to get one, but better late than never…I love this watch and I am real happy to have this baby on my wrist!

I want to do the best I can to keep this watch in great running condition and have a few questions.

How long should this watch continue running when it is off my wrist? Twice, I took it off at night, did not wear it the next day and the following morning it was stopped. Is this a normal amount of time?

If the watch stops, is it ok to wind it? If so, how many times and in which direction?

I would like to get an automatic winder for the watch. Do I need a bidirectional winder? Are there any recommendations on a descent one that won’t break the bank?

I am sure I will have more questions along the way but sure would appreciate some help with these first few.

Thanks in advance!
Steve
