First Rolex.....
So after many months of research and saving i have finally taken the plunge and bought my first Rolex............ a Deepsea
I have to say I have been surprised by the depth of feeling against this watch there seem to be a lot of people who really don't it like for a number of reasons (size, height, lettering etc) My original plan had been to buy a Sub C to celebrate my 30th birthday but once I saw the Deepsea in the flesh there was simply no other option, in my opinion the Sub can't stand up when compared to the Deepsea (i'm sure this will upset some people) but the only thing the sub does better is fit under a work shirt! The Sub is everywhere which obviously shows that it is a good watch but given the £2k price differential between the two there was no way i could spend £5k on a sub when the Omega planet Ocean is nearly half the price but not half the watch! So here i am with a beast on my arm and very happy with it, I would like to give a shout out to Chris 'the GMT master' for all of this help and all of the other forum members for answering my questions over the last few months Once i take some proper pictures and figure out how to post pictures i will put them on here but for now i have a few taken with my phone http://photobucket.com/SK-Sea-Dweller For now i will simply enjoy the beast SK |
