Hello from Midlands, UK
Hi my name is Spencer,
I have already posted regarding a vintage Rolex but forgot my manners and my introduction here. I have been a Rolex owner in various guises since '92/93: 1992/93 SS GMT II - Red / Black - SOLD 1997 SS Daytona - White dial - SOLD (Regretted selling but circumstances...) 2001 Sea Dweller - Daily wearer 2006 SS Daytona - White Dial 2011 SS Daytona - Black Dial My current quest is to stray into the world of vintage Rolex having only purchased my current watches from new this presents a whole new 'experience'. I have worked in and out of Motorsport since 1990 which no doubt explains my initial exposure and predisposition to the Daytona. One of my previous bosses had a 'genuine' Daytona as presented to the winner of the 24hrs of Daytona from a driver he worked with as a 'thank you' My Daytona 'collection' will no doubt shrink to one when I have decided which I prefer, but currently that accolade goes to the 16520 white dial I let go in '97 doh... Cheers Spencer |
