My first Rolex with pics
My first Rolex, the datejust 16220. Also my first live auction, were I purchased it from. Surprisingly I had a good time at the auction, and with so many cool things to bid on I can see one spending a lot of money, but I was there for the Rolex. They had 9 different kinds including YG DD , GMT and some TT DJs, but i had my eye on the 16220. It seemed most people were there just for the rolexes and the bidding on my watch started fast and furious. It came down to me and my adversary, I let the auctioneer count to 2 and I placed my bid.1...2...3 and it was mine. Later when the auction ended and I went to pick up/pay for my rolex, my adversary was yelling at an employee. Saying how he would of out bid me if it was not for an employee asking him for a down payment on the YG DD(as soon as you win a bid you must pay 25% of the cost).Man was he pissed off and from the price he paid for the DD I'm sure he could of out bid me. I sheepishly paid for it and left.
Now for some amateur pictures okok maybe I went a little overboard |
