Is There a Proper Way to Remove Bracelet Links?

Hello guys,

I had two links removed from my Daytona's bracelet, and the guy removed both of them from the 6 o clock side of the bracelet. The claps sits fine in the centre, I have no issue with that. But the bracelet is obviously a lot shorter from one side.. I wanted to know if this is this the right way of removing links or should he have removed one from each side?
