Stumbled across my grail

Having collected Rolex for a few years now, I've continually hankered after a White Zenith Daytona. I've chased after a few only to find that their condition is not what it purported to be or the watch was fine but had no documentation. Anyway, the other day, I was in Central London and was happily browsing the windows of the second hand watch shops when I saw what looked to be a very clean Zenith Daytona. In several years, it was only the second time I have ever seen one in a shop window. On enquiring after the watch, I found out that the reason it was so clean was simple; it had never been worn. It was absolutely mint with not a single mark on it. Even better, it had all its documentation, box, papers etc etc etc. It also had the tritium dial and non SEL bracelet (which I prefer on the Zenith). Having reflected overnight, I decided to take the plunge, agreed a part-ex deal with another watch and walked out the shop ever so slightly poorer but very happy.

By coincidence, I was close to he UK Rolex HQ in St James Square London who provide a fantastic "drop in" service department. Since it had never been serviced in thirteen years, I walked in and asked their advice on what I should do with the watch. Having closely looked at the watch under their high magnifaction lens, wound the watch and triggered the chrono mechanism, the Rolex technician declared the watch to be as new with no sign of work ever having been performed on it and therefore probably best to leave well alone.

I now have just one decision to make...... should I wear it or not? If I'm honest, I may take several years to make that decision!
