Vintage Rolex Bubbleback- Rose Gold

Hi Guys,

I recently inhereited a Rolex Bubbleback from my uncle, who wore the watch for at least 40 years.

It has a rich history, from what my uncle told me when he was still alive, this Bubbleback was originally purchased by a wealthy collector, who owned many high end watches in the 40's. Years later, it was taken by his son, who had a gambling problem and did nothing but spend his father's money.

This watch was gambled away in the early 70's, and given to my uncle, who wore it for the rest of his life.

I am 23 years old, and I plan on passing this piece of history down to my son one day, but apart from the story that my uncle told me, I know nothing about this watch.

I am wondering if there are any Bubbleback experts on this forum that may graciously bless me with their knowledge on this particular watch, perhaps the approximate year it was made, whether the rold gold was a common feature for the Bubbleback, or quite rare, and anything that may help me understand the technical story behind it.

Lastly, how often should I take it in to be serviced, and will this watch last me my entire life if I take extra care of it.

Thank you
