Why no love for the IWC Vintage Ingenieur?

I'll readily admit I've never tried one on in person yet, no AD never seem to have them in stock, but then again I haven't really heard anyone talk about them here on TRF either. Why no love?

The hands/style are a bit of an acquired taste, but the design is rather reserved and attractive IMO; the size good at 42.5mm; in-house movement; good pedigree/history; and it is water resistant to 120m thus it would make a good everyday beater. Anyone ever owned or handles one? Thoughts and comments?

Cheers,

Patrick
