Is the rising popularity of Macs having a negative effect on wrist watches?

I'm typing this away on my new(ish) 15" MacBook Pro retina display - a gorgeous machine souped up with 16GB of RAM etc, etc, etc. Mac notebooks are not the leading laptop maker in the US with a rapidly growing market share. Nothing wrong with that.

The crux is given how the keyboard is positioned on Macs doesn't gel with wearing a wrist watch - both get banged up against each other and it uncomfortable to type on the keyboard with a watch on in many position, thus I have to take off my watch (Rolex in this case) and keep it off for the better part of the work day. I spend many, many hours per day in front of the computer so I'm wearing my watch less and less, thereby getting used to not wearing any watch. You understand the circle...

Anyone else experiencing the same thing? Is increased use of computers, especially Macs, further driving down the popularity of wrist watches?
