Fragrances
I saw another thread on cologne/perfume, and I was a bit surprised at some of the things that people say they wear. Lots of what would be the equivalent of Casio and Timex (considered Designer fragrances). For example, I saw that someone mentioned Cool Water. That's like wearing Invicta's watch that looks like the Submariner (I have the Invicta on order, by the way, to see if I like the style. See my thread in the main forum). Cool Water is a blatent copy of Creed's Green Irish Tweed, and like a cheap copy of a Rolex, comes nowhere near the quality of the real thing.
Most would consider Creed to be the Rolex of fragrances (producing what are considered Niche fragrances). They're one of the oldest companies in the world, they were founded in 1760. My favorite fragrance is their Erolfa. It's basically the Yachtmaster of their line. It smells like the ocean, with some citrus notes. Apparently it's fairly difficult to copy because there isn't really anything close on the market. They have their main store in Paris, and from what I've heard, if you go to the exclusive up-stairs part of the store (no idea how to qualify for that privilege), you have to take off your shoes because it's carpeted with mink fur. So, does anyone else have any suggestions on how to smell good? |
