Having my first child this year, considering another purchase/gift

Im having my first child this year, a baby girl, and with that, I have always loved the idea of purchasing a watch with the idea of giving it to her as a 18th or 21st birthday present. I've always had a thing for rose gold, and I figure this would be an excellent time. Of course Ive wanted a DeepSea also, just not sure if in 18 years, the ladies trend will still be large watches. I plan to wear the watch on occasion until I give it to her, being that it will have great meaning to me.

Anybody have any opinions? Right now I am really liking the stainless/rose DateJust with slate dial, and of course the DeepSea.

Would compliment my rotation of an 82 GMT Master on NATO strap (my birth year); an 08 Milgauss GV (wife bought it for me for supporting her through Pharmacy school; and a Tag Heuer golf watch.
