Question re. replacement crystal for my Datejust
Can someone help me with this dilemma??
After 30+ years of joy with my ROLEX, I have decided to change to a newer watch. This may be part of my mid-life crises... While my Rolex is authentic, and I am the original owner, the unexpected issue that came up stems from the replacement sapphire crystal that I got for it. Since the original crystal was plastic, and (after 20 or so years) had many annoying scratches, I found a ROLEX DEALER who installed the new sapphire. It looks really 'crystal clear', and show absolutely NO SCRATCHES after about 6 years. Now that I have listed it for sale on Craigslist: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/jwl/3621089198.html I am being told that the non-original crystal is a negative point. I did not expect that!! Perhaps I am naive..... Helpful feedback is appreciated, and cheers to all. Ed |
