The only reason to send it to the RSC would be for dial and or hand replacement. Any good watch repair person can replace the crystal and gaskets and refinish the bracelet and case. But that said, the RSC charge really wasn't all that high compared to mechanical servicing. I once sent a Tudor quartz to the Dallas RSC where it was refused and returned to me. I then called the NY RSC and they had no problem servicing it and did, making it look like new.
