Jewels? What do they do?
I just want to ask what are "jewels"? I keep reading that the Omegas have 23 or 25 jewels and that certain Rolex timepieces have 31 jewels....

What are jewels and what do they do for the watch? Are these the ruby-red things I see when I look at the back of the "see-through" Omega Seamaster GMT watches?
