Jewel in the desert (Pic heavy)
So I woke up this morning, made a cup of tea, sat out on the patio deck and thought "what a nice day." Figured I'd start the day with a hike I haven't done in a while. So I grabbed my trusty hat, a knife and a camelback. Could use a watch too. I don't have an explorer though. I guess the DJ will have to do. Here are some pics to share with you guys. Hope you enjoy
45 minutes later by mile marker 2 on the Arizona highway. The adventure begins. At the mouth of the canyon trail More canyons! The canyon terrain can get very boring. So lets cut to the chase. The goal of this hike is the majestic jewel of the Southwestern United States. The Colorado River. It may not seem like it, but the Colorado can get real deep. Just about 100 ft. Or 30 meters. I dove as deep as I could but, the Colorado is cold all year round. I had hard time holding my breath. I hear Oysters love the water. |
