Precision Oysterdate help
A friend purchased a Precision Oysterdate about 40 years ago in Viet Nam and I'd like to get some advice on it. There is no SN on the exterior, so I can't provide that.
I've perused many photos of similar watches and can't find one with a dial/hand configuration like this one. It has no luminous markers on either the hands or dial, and the dial markers are different from any I've seen. The crystal does not have a Cyclops eye on it, and although I've seen a few without one most have it. The watch has been in a drawer for the past 40 or more years and it seems to run fine. I'm suggesting that he have it cleaned and serviced but retain the stained dial and hands, but I'd like expert opinions on it under the assumption that he wants to wear it and have it retain maximum value. I don't think he has a band for it and a nice Nato band, maybe a leather one, would seem to be the best choice. |
