Lexington AD great experience
I was recently in Lexington, Kentucky, and stopped at an AD in town, Surgener Jewelers. I had never been there before. The owner, Damon Surgener, discussed Rolexes with me for a half-hour. He had a wealth of knowledge about Rolex watches and has been an AD for about 25 years. His jewelery store has fine jewelry, of course, but it carries only one brand of watch: Rolex. The selection was great and it was comparable to the selection at The Diamond Cellar in Columbus, Ohio, which is one of the largest ADs in the Midwest.
What impressed me the most was that the owner spent time with me; answered my questions; and explained information about the Rolex brand to me. This was old school.....the type of personal service that I remember existed years ago, but not much today. I would encourage anyone who is near enough to Lexington to go to this AD and see his excellent selection. I have no affiliation with this AD and no motive other than to bring this to the attention of other members. There are many postings on this Forum by members who have had bad experiences with ADs and those stories are undoubtedly more interesting to read. However, it should be refreshing to know that there are still professional, knowledgeable, courteous, ADs that pride themselves on providing the highest level of service to their customers. Surgener Jewelers is one of them. |
