What do ADs typically know about new stock shipments from Rolex HQ?

Hi all,

Does anyone know about the restocking process between ADs and Rolex? Do ADs request certain models and then Rolex decides what to send / not send their way?

I'd imagine evenly distributing popular models among ADs would be challenging. Thanks in advance.

Background for those who care:

I ordered a model that my hometown AD didn't have in inventory. The AD said they'd been in contact with Rolex HQ and were due that model soon. Estimate was 2-3 weeks, which has since expired.

When I called to check in, the rep said they were surprised when the most recent shipment was a DJII rather than my model. I'm not particularly concerned by the wait, but was curious about her surprise at which models came in a given shipment.
