Almost all cars with airbags will have a black box that records data when there is an accident, and can show details about the speed of the car, if the breaks were applied, if the occupants were wearing a seatbelt, etc. for the few seconds just before any crash. Not the same thing you are talking about, but if you get in an accident the data can be pulled from the box and used in court to get a conviction. Big Brother is watching......

Damn - and the prosecutors have legal access to this data?!
