New Bicycle!

Not too long ago I bought what I thought was my dream bicycle, a Bianchi Milano. I test drove one in 2005 but then Katrina happened before I could get it. I bought a Trek hybrid after "K" but eventually got rid of it as we were incompatible.

Late last year I found an NOS Milano that was just like the one I test drove so I jumped on it. Sadly, I had neck surgery post "K" and the cafe racer posture did not suit me anymore so I gave it to my cousin this morning.

Here is the beauty I tried to love:

For more than a few months I've been on a search for an "upright" posture bike that would not kill my neck and I think I found it.

I got it on Friday but I'm still dialing in the seat and bars. It's from Public, a San Fransisco based company.

The new bike actually inspires me to hop on and ride and I can't wait until the Brooks saddle is broken in. Today I removed the front rack and I have some vintage Swiss bicycle panniers that should be here in a couple of days.

Will take another picture then.

Cheers! Tim
