116244 Replacement dial quote from Tourneau

My MIL's watch met an untimely fate by being smashed by a heavy door closing. Luckily, she wasn't injured, the watch took the full impact. It shattered the crystal, jamming a big chunk of crystal under the hands.

Tourneau says that dial (Silver MOP with diamond square? markers) is ruined and needs to be replaced (I will ask for pics of the damage from them, now that they've taken the glass out). Replacement price is $3,000. Interestingly, they didn't quote new hands in the estimate. That big chunk of crystal was wedged between dial and minute hand.

Does this sound like a reasonable dial cost? Would this dial be impossible to source otherwise? Total estimate is $4,000 after dial, cleaning, and crystal.

Lastly, will Tourneau at least return old dial to us if we ask nicely? It's the Tourneau at Caesar's if anyone knows anybody there who can help.

Thanks in advance.
