Captured lightning...

It took a lot of shots (like.. into the hundreds..) to get something.. but I finally got one! We had a storm with a lot of lightning roll through yesterday early evening. It sort of dissapears behind a cloud and then re appears. I didn't really venture outside my front doorway. Just used my D700 with a 50mm.

Of course later on I did some reading.. another method is to have a long exposure and get setup on a tripod and capture whatever flashes around over the course of say 30 seconds.
