Clasp alignment - would it help me?

Hey there

I am the proud owner of a SD and have seen a lot of posts recently about people working hard to get the clasp aligned so it sits centrally on the wrist. I am genuinely wondering if this makes a difference to how the watch sits on the wrist. The reason I ask is that I have a 6/5 link combo with the mini adjustment at the tightest hole. The SD fits well round the wrist but has a tendency to pull toward the top of my wrist (the 12 o'clock position) which means the head never stays flush in the centre of my wrist. The watch doesn't spin round - it just 'pulls' a bit and so looks a bit off centre. It's kind of annoying.

If I had another link removed (from the 12 o'clock side) for a 5/5 combo and then moved the mini adjustment to the middle hole on the clasp would this make the watch fit the same round the wrist but stop the 'pull'?

I'm sure some will say just try it but whenever I've had a link taken out the AD invariably threads the top of the screw by tightening/untightening too hard. And I HATE that. So I really don't want to experiment too much with links being added and taken away if it's not going to make much difference other than aesthetically.

Any advice or words o wisdom?

Thanks for any advice.
