Received my new M series SD today!!!

Hey guys,

I've snapped a few pictures. I'm no photographer so forgive the poor quality of the pictures. As most of you already know from a previous thread that well grew much larger than I anticipated, that I went through quite an experence to get this watch. But it is here. Bought from Wempe in nyc, and without any further ado.........here are the pictures:

you'll notice that even though the AD knew I was buying the watch for myself, they still took the time to gift wrap it in very nice wrapping paper with Wempe string and bow. Very nice classy touch indeed. I now know if i was ever to buy a watch for that special lady in my life......wempe has my business.

Also a few observations comparing this new M series watch to the Z series watch i returned to Tourneau (for those of you who are not up to date on the story, refer to http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=35498

In any case, the new one from Wempe feels much "stiffer". the clasp has a much more distinct "snap into place" feel to it. I remember the previous one I had from Tourneau clicked into place, but without that specific snap into place feel to it, almost as if it has been snapped into place over and over again where you lose that new feeling to the mechanism. Also the one I had from Tourneau actually felt "broken in" in regards to the bracelet and links. It wasn't as stiff, and in actuality felt more comfortable because of its less stiff feeling. But if i was to take a blind test and someone asked me which watch was "new" vs "used" i would definitely have thought the wempe watch was new, simply because of the stiffer links and much more distinct snap in process on the clasp. just my observation.

Also, i think i will need to go back to wempe to get the watch readjusted. In my excitement to get the watch I might not have spent all the time I needed to get it adjusted properly, so it feels a tad tight. They did take out a link however it feels as if this one gravitates to the top part of my wrist as opposed to being centered. The claps is set to hole 3 and I may just need them to set it to hole 2 to give me the extra breathing room. other than that, perfect.

I can't tell you all how grateful I am to all of you for your help!!! Hopefully i can start giving back to this community soon (starting with the SD pr0n) as opposed to just taking :)
